Michelle Richards

Mother of two boys, Michelle has a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Master of Arts in Teaching. Having taught for approximately 10 years in both outdoor education, as well as in the classroom, Michelle felt the community need for a drop-in childcare center in the northern area of Wilmington. She, along with her husband Zach and Brother-in-Law Josh, created Giggles in the fall of 2007, opening the doors in February of 2008. Michelle absolutely loves caring for the children in our center and getting to know all of the wonderful families that we call our extended “Giggles Family.” |
Kimberly Adams

Originally from Poughkeepski, NY, Kim has been with Giggles since we opened our doors two years ago. She currently attends Cape Fear Community College for Phlebotomy and Sonography. Kim is absolutely great with kids and her past childcare experience includes vacation bible schools, after school programs, the boys and girls club and formal daycare. As a member of our management staff, Kim is absolutely essential to the daily operation of Giggles and we are so grateful to have her! |
Amy Atkins

Mother of 1 and step-mother of 2 boys, Amy has also been with Giggles since the beginning and even in the early planning stages and is also a very valuable member of our management staff. She has been working in daycare for 15 years, and absolutely loves children. She attended Radford University for Elementary Education, and also attended New Brunswick Community College to receive her associate’s degree in Early Childhood Development. She loves playing with kids and has a great time here at Giggles with all of your children! |
Amy Boaze

Another key member of our management team, Amy has been working here at Giggles since August of 2008. Amy is originally from South Florida and is bilingual. She attended Broward County Community College for photography as well as The Paul Mitchell School to become a licensed Cosmetologist. She has 10 years experience in childcare including extensive nanny work and teaching at Chesterbrook Academy. Amy is very creative and is responsible for all of our great daily art and craft projects. |
Jenna Rosato

As a member of our management team, Jenna has been with us at Giggles since about a month after our opening in Feb of 2008. Native to the Raleigh area, Jenna expects to graduate from UNCW in May of 2010 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Spanish. She has been working with kids for about 8 years, whether through church activities, babysitting, or mission trips overseas. She plans to work with kids as a career through counseling and missions, primarily in the US and Central America, and possibly teaching Spanish. |
Cara Bridges

A native of Burlington, NC, Cara expects to graduate from UNCW in 2011 with a degree in political science and minor in psychology. Cara has been working at Giggles since November of 2008 and recently returned from a semester studying abroad in South Korea. Her past experience in childcare includes 6 years as a church volunteer, nanny and current work in a kindergarten classroom. Cara loves to have fun with the kids and they love her! |
Mary Cullen

From Boone, NC, Mary expects to graduate from UNCW in 2011 with a degree in both Elementary Education and Special Education. She has been working at Giggles since November of 2008 and is always smiling! Her past childcare experience includes vacation bible school, baby sitting and tutoring. She loves kids and we are very lucky to have her as part of our Giggles Family. |
Megan Belknap

Megan is from Danbury, CT and expects to graduate from UNCW in 2011 with a degree in nursing. She plans to have career in pediatric nursing and loves children! She is a Certified Nurse Assistant and has been working at Giggles since April of 2009. Megan’s childcare experience includes many years as a nanny as well as a YMCA Camp Counselor. Megan is very funny and the kid’s love to play with her! |
Allyce Sulkowski

As the newest member of our Giggles Staff, Allyce has been with us since Oct of 2009. She is a graduate of Northern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Analysis Psychology and a minor in human services. Allyce has many years experience with children including working as a nanny and also working with children with behavior issues. She has worked as a direct care worker in a residential home with kids who had behaviors or diagnoses ranging from Autism and Asbergers to ODD and ADHD. In addition to working at Giggles Allyce currently works in a program where she works with children in their home to implement behavior programs for these same diagnoses. |
